The rest of the weekend

The best day of a long weekend has to be Sunday. You're mind wakes up thinking that it's the last day before heading back to work, but then you remind yourself that you have the next day off as well, and you just lay there smiling. The. Best.

We didn't do much of anything for the rest of the weekend. We spent a lot of time inside playing with Oliver, and outside playing with Oliver. Clearly, there was lots of playing with Oliver. Sunday we did our grocery shopping for the week, then took Oliver to the park that night for an hour. We met our neighbour there and it was nice to just stand around and talk while our boys were on the swing. I really love living up here. Anyway, here are some park pictures!

Monday was pretty much more of the same. We just tried to spend some time enjoying each other and relaxing. For once it actually felt like it was a long weekend! Oliver did have two new experiences though. First, he tried Nutella and absolutly LOVED it (but who doesn't, right?).

Second, he painted with Daddy. Really, he taught Daddy how to paint! Dad was a little nervous about the whole situation, and it'll probably take a few more lessons before he learns to just let go and enjoy the moment; worry about the clean-up after!
